We use the new feature in WPRealty but took it out until version 3.0. UltimateIDX is changing theirs to 3.0 this month (or next) which has more WordPress specific features.

thanks for the clear explanation. This is my story: I’m currently setting up a website for a local realtor here as well and looking at all the (im)possibilities of the real estate WP plugins, I’m afraid I’ll have to hire a freelance programmer to develop a custom plugin for our specific needs.

Hi, if such a system was developed than many of them will be benefited from it. Apart from that many of them has to face the security issue. Hope soon the research will be ended resulting into development of one such plugin which will work as an option to the same.

Very Interesting I am just starting to switch from a P2A Site to a WordPress site, thanks for all of the Information.

Great site. It’s important for people to have information on what’s not really possible and some alternatives, as well as giving details on all the things that are possible with the features and software everybody’s using. At least this will stop people spending hours looking for such a plug-in.

I am in the process of setting up a WordPress blog site for a REALTOR. I am glad I found this post/thread as it clears up why there are monthly charges from IDX vendors for use of their real estate plug-ins. I have looked at Diverse Solutions plug-in and now realize that there are others to research as well.
